My name is Bryan Haag I am currently the president of Sporting Chance. My family consists of my wife Denice, son Matt and two dogs. I work at the Refinery in Mandan. I started out working with the group volunteering with the bow hunting that takes place on the "North Forty" property at the refinery.
I am an avid hunter and fishermen. However, in December of 2005 I ended up seriously hurt in an accident that left me unable to hunt and fish the way I normally did. This was a big wakeup call for me. I am one of the lucky ones who can pretty much do everything the way that I did in the past with few adaptations. The realality of not being able to do this opened my eyes to what goes on with the Sporting Chance organization, I just love seeing the smiles and tears on the faces of the people we help with their "sporting chance".
Hello!! My name is Sue Caron and my family is my son Zach and myself. My son does the hunting, we fish and I cook the outcome of those activities. We both enjoy the outdoors and mudding with the Jeeps or ATV trail rides and camping with friends and family. On my free time I’m an EMT and volunteer with my local small town Ambulance service
I became a member in June 2014 when a friend urged me to attend the Escape to the Lake Water Ski Event. Within a few minutes I was in the water helping to get participants situated in the seats so they could ski. When I saw the excitement and smiles on their faces when they completed the round and came back in I was hooked!! The rest is history! In 2016 I became a Board Member and in 2018 I became Vice President and was re-elected to another 2 year term in January. I enjoy helping people experience new things and truly believe that it really is the little things that matter the most. Be the person God wants you to be! Let his light shine through you!
I have been involved with Sporting Chance since 2000, and have been the club secretary since 2003. I have two children; my son Seth, and daughter Abby, and two German Short-haired Pointers that need a closer eye on them then Seth and Abby did when they were two. In my free time you can find me in the great outdoors of ND.
I became involved with Sporting Chance while searching for an adaptive means to spend sometime in the great outdoors with my son. Our first event we attended was Escape to the Lake adaptive waterskiing held at Nelson Lake. Seeing the smile not only on my sons face but all the other participants and volunteers alike made me want to be a part of providing those smiles to others.
