About Us
Showing off a deer from the hunt!
Sporting Chance was started in 1995. We are registered as a North Dakota volunteer based non-profit charitable organization. Our objective is to provide outdoor recreational activities for people with disabilities. We accept the challenge to take individuals, with a disability, into the field for an opportunity that they would not otherwise have.

President: Bryan Haag

My name is Bryan Haag I am currently the president of Sporting Chance.
My family consists of my wife Denice, son Matt and four dogs.
I work at the Tesoro Refinery in Mandan. I started out working with the group volunteering with the bow hunting that takes place on the Tesoro property "North Forty".

I am an avid hunter and fishermen. However, in December of 2005 I ended up seriously hurt in an accident that left me unable to hunt and fish the way I normally did. This was a big wakeup call for me. I am one of the lucky ones who can pretty much do everything the way that I did in the past with few adaptations. The realality of not being able to do this opened my eyes to what goes on with the Sporting Chance organization, I just love seeing the smiles and tears on the faces of the people we help with their "sporting chance".

JR Kasper
Secretary: JR Kasper

I have been involved with Sporting Chance since 2000, and have been the club secretary since 2003. I have two children; my son Seth, and daughter Abby, and two German Short-haired Pointers that need a closer eye on them then Seth and Abby did when they were two. In my free time you can find me in the great outdoors of ND.

I became involved with Sporting Chance while searching for an adaptive means to spend sometime in the great outdoors with my son. Our first event we attended was Escape to the Lake adaptive waterskiing held at Nelson Lake. Seeing the smile not only on my sons face but all the other participants and volunteers alike made me want to be a part of providing those smiles to others.
