FAQ
Q: How do I become a member?
A: Complete the Member Registration Form and mail along with your check made out to Sporting Chance, PO Box 1156, Bismarck ND 58501.

Q: Who can participate?
A: Any person that is physically or mentally challenged.

Q: Are there any age or health restrictions for participants?
A: There are no health or age restrictions on any of our events. As long as the participant is feeling well enough to participate and has an advocate to look after their medical needs we will allow anyone to participate in our events.

Q: Are medics available for events?
A: We have at least one individual at all events that is certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Q: Where and When does Sporting Chance Meet?
A: We meet the first Tuesday of every month at the Bismarck AmVets

Q: What supplies do participants need to purchase and bring?
A: The only item(s) a participant needs to bring to an event is appropriate clothing. All of our events take place in the great outdoors of North Dakota during which time a person can experience all four seasons in a single day. Please dress accordingly to allow you the comfort to enjoy your "sporting chance" to its fullest. Sporting Chance supplies all equipment for all events with the exception of firearms for our pheasant hunt. Through its many sponsors Sporting Chance has obtained archery equipment, fishing rods, and many pieces of adaptive equipment designed with you in mind. All you need to do is show up with a smile and be ready to have a good time!

Q: What can I help with as I am not an outdoor person?
A: There is something for everyone to do at all of our events. You do not need to be an avid outdoors person in order to volunteer for a Sporting Chance event. If you take a look at some of our photo galleries you will see the volunteers that are needed to assist the participants.

Q: Can participants be dropped off at events?
A: No. All participants need to be supervised. Sporting Chance is not responsible for the health and safety of its participants. We provide the assistance for the participant to enjoy the event. Every participant, volunteer or any other participant associated with a "Sporting Chance" activity must complete and sign this Agreement and Release of Liability form.

Q: What type of funding does Sporting Chance receive?
A: We are a 501c3 nonprofit group that acquires its funding completely through donations from area businesses and people in the community. We do hold an annual raffle each year with the winners being drawn at our October meeting.

Q: Can anyone be a sponsor?
A: Yes anyone can sponsor an event, a piece of equipment, or an individual. The cost of putting on quality events does not go away and with your continued support we will continue to provide a "sporting chance" for anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors.
